What is e-Shram Card?

The e-Shram Card is a unique 12-digit Identity Card for unorganized workers in India. It creates a National Database of workers like construction laborers, domestic helps, and street vendors.

By registering, you get a UAN (Universal Account Number). This number stays the same for your lifetime, even if you change your job or state.

Who Can Apply?

Any worker in the unorganized sector can apply. The conditions are simple:

• Age: Between 16 and 59 years.
• Tax Status: Must NOT be an Income Tax payer.
• PF/ESIC: Must NOT be a member of EPFO or ESIC.
• Valid Mobile: Must have a mobile number linked to Aadhaar.

Examples of Eligible Workers: Drivers, Maids, Carpenters, Agricultural Laborers, Street Vendors.

How to Register Online (Self Mode)

You don’t need to pay any agent. Registration is 100% Free.

Step 1: Visit Official Portal

Go to eshram.gov.in.

Step 2: Enter Aadhaar Details

Click on “Register on e-Shram”. Enter your Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number and Captcha.

Step 3: Fill Form

Enter your OTP. Then fill in your Bank Account details (for DBT) and your Occupation details.

Step 4: Submit

Once you click Submit, your UAN Card will be generated instantly on the screen.

How to Download e-Shram Card PDF?

If you lost your card or want to print it again:

1. Go to the portal and click “Already Registered? Update”.
2. Login with your Mobile Number.
3. Select “Download UAN Card”.
4. A PDF file will save to your phone. Print it and laminate it like an Aadhaar card.
