SSC GD 2026 Update: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the exam dates for the Constable (GD) recruitment. The Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be held from February 23, 2026, to March 12, 2026. Candidates can now check their Application Status and Exam City.

Exam Pattern (New Format)

The exam will consist of 80 questions with a total of 160 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Reasoning: 20 Qs (40 Marks)
GK/Awareness: 20 Qs (40 Marks)
Mathematics: 20 Qs (40 Marks)
English/Hindi: 20 Qs (40 Marks)
Time Duration: 60 Minutes

Physical Test (PET) Details

Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This is qualifying in nature.

Male: 5 km run in 24 minutes.
Female: 1.6 km run in 8½ minutes.
Height: Male (170 cm), Female (157 cm).
